You’ve put sunshine in my
heart and moon
beams in my eyes. All the stars now
sparkle like diamonds in the sky.
Before I met you my wings were bound…
by broken dreams, and
a song without sound.
As our friendship
grew. I heard the
sound, of notes in a song
that was played by you. I felt
my bonds weaken, so I stood
up to see, that the song
from your heart had set
my wings
free. As I rose from
the earth, and looked
all around, I
saw you there shackled,
tight,
to the ground.
So I tucked
in my wings and dove toward the
sound of that song
that I heard about
a love without bounds.
Now as I land with my feet on the
dirt,
I open my arms and offer
you truth.
For sharing
that song that freed me
from earth.
