  1. Perfection does not exist.
    Acknowledge that there is no such thing as perfection and that creating the best of something is relative to you. Striving for the best and trying to attain perfection only sets you up for certain failure. Simplicity is desirable but often hard to attain.
  2. Your tools do not guarantee your work.
    Use what you have however you need to in order to accomplish goals effectively and on time. Don’t be afraid to make or modify tools, just don’t get lost in it.
  3. Do what needs to be done.
    There is no better time than right now to get started on something important. Do it now and with passion. Wishing is wanting without action. Passion for what you do gives fuel for acting upon those wishes so that they become realities.
  4. More information does not mean more clarity.
    Obtaining a lot of information can often diminish the clarity of the goal at hand.
  5. Accept honest, fun, inspirational processes only.
    It is the journey, not the destination, that matters. Life is inspiration enough, you just have to remember to open your mind to it. It can fuel creativity and helps bolster your will to perform task great and small.
  6. Honesty in everything.
    The most important person to be honest with is yourself. If you cannot be honest with yourself, you will not be honest with others. You learn from your mistakes as well as your successes in order to better yourself in full.
  7. Follow none; respect everyone.
    Don’t be lead by someone or something else; you are in charge of your life and actions. Believing their statements and actions without thought is stupid, but respecting them for what they do is necessary.
  8. Learn through questioning.
    Even a failure can be a success if you have learned from it. Learn from your own successes and failures as well as that of your friends. On the other hand, you must question everything and take nothing as it is given. This keeps the mind sharp and makes you more wise.
  9. Make impressive work, do not work to impress.
    When you product something impressive, others will notice. If they fail to see the beauty of your design, that is only their loss.
  10. Watch for patterns.
    There are patterns in everything; learning to find these will help you obtain goals and desires much faster.
  11. Work locally, plan globally.
    If you improve and maintain your surroundings, you will have more room for creative outlet. This works in personal life as well as business.
  12. No matter what your occupation, consider the world.
    Do not be a contributor to the crap that already exists. Create what you will, but share only your unique gems, even if they are still a bit uncut.

    Most importantly, remember to breathe. It is amazing how inhaling and exhaling can calm the body and nerves and induce clarity of thought.
